Under the Light of the Moon

Good morning,

It’s 5:00 a.m. this morning under the tin roof.

After my morning conversation with my Heavenly Father, I found myself simply sitting and staring at the full moon.

It was so bright.

So beautiful.

Perfectly designed by the One who spoke it into existence.

Moments like these remind me of how amazing our God truly is—what He has done, what He is doing, and what He has promised He will do.

These quiet mornings have become some of my favorite moments of the day.

This morning, I wasn’t alone.

A new neighborhood owl called out from the trees.

The frogs sang their familiar song.

The grasshoppers joined in.

Even the sounds I couldn’t identify seemed to be part of God’s orchestra.

As I sat there listening, I couldn’t help but think how undeserving I am of all the Lord has done for me.

Yet He continues to pour out His grace.

He continues to bless.

He continues to remind me that every good gift comes from Him.

Today, I simply want to encourage you to pause for a moment.

Take a deep breath.

Look around.

Thank God for what He has done in your life.

Sometimes we become so busy asking God for what’s next that we forget to thank Him for what He’s already given us.

One more encouragement before I go.

If you’re able, be in your local church for Wednesday night’s service. There is something special about gathering together with other believers to worship and study God’s Word.

If you can’t make it out, consider joining a faithful church online through Facebook or YouTube.

I’m thankful that the Lord has allowed me to enjoy both—a local church service at 7:00 p.m. and an online Bible study afterward. Both have been a blessing in my walk with Christ.

I hope you have a truly blessed day.

And before the busyness of life begins…

Take a moment to thank the One who made the moon you’re looking at tonight.

Until the rain falls again…

Grace and peace,

A Porch Believer
