Welcome to The Narrow Porch

A Journey of Biblical Discipleship

Welcome.

I’m glad you’re here.

If this is your first time joining us, I want to invite you to find a quiet place, open your Bible, and simply spend some time with the Lord.

Over the next fifty-two weeks, we’ll walk together through what I call The Narrow Porch.

This is not another Bible reading plan.

It is not a course designed to help you simply gain more knowledge.

It is a journey of biblical discipleship.

Jesus said:

“Mat 7:14

“Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (NKJV)

Those words remind us that following Christ has never been about taking the easiest road. It has always been about faithfully following the Savior wherever He leads.

That is the journey we’ll take together.

We’ll begin before we could ever choose Him, looking at God’s loving work in our earliest years. From there we’ll walk through our need for salvation, the grace of God, new life in Christ, learning to follow Him, seasons of struggle and restoration, discovering how He equips His people, serving within the local church, making disciples, and ultimately finishing well.

Every step of this journey has one purpose:

To know God more deeply through His Word and to become more faithful followers of Jesus Christ.

We aren’t gathering around a teacher. We’re gathering around God’s Word.

There is one commitment we will make together before we begin.

This journey will always be God-centered and Scripture-led.

We will never begin with our opinions and search for verses to support them. Instead, we will open God’s Word first and allow Scripture to shape our understanding, our hearts, and our lives. If God’s Word challenges our thinking, then we will gladly follow His Word.

Porch Believers has never existed to replace the local church. It exists to encourage believers to pursue God, grow in faith, and strengthen the church by making faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.

My prayer is that each Sunday evening becomes a quiet opportunity to meet with the Lord through His Word before a new week begins.

So, pull up a chair.

Open your Bible.

Ask the Lord to teach you.

Let’s begin our journey together on The Narrow Porch.
